RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that can be completed in a short time frame. It's based on skills, knowledge and evidence you have already acquired over the years to meet the requirements for the qualification.

RPL can be conducted via online delivery and through workplace training.
If a student fails to demonstrate competency in some units required to gain the qualification, Gap Training is used to gain competency in those units. It can be customised to suit the individual client needs. Refer to the FEES tab for the number of Gap Training units included (if needed) in your RPL fee and any additional fees.
3 months enrolment period to complete RPL.
Course
A Course is a process that can be completed in a longer time frame. It’s designed for those who have little or no previous experience in this field of qualification. The course will help train you to achieve the required skills and knowledge needed to gain this qualification.
Course training requires access to a workplace and tools. Please check the student handbook for the list of resources required for each unit of competency. If you require access to a workplace, you will need to inform National Skills prior to enrolment so we can arrange access to a workplace for you.

This qualification provides you with the skills required in work health and safety roles across a range of industries.
Individuals in these roles help manage workplace risks, apply WHS laws and procedures, and support safe work practices. They may also provide guidance to others and contribute to improving safety outcomes in the workplace.

BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
This qualification provides a nationally recognised outcome for individuals working as supervisors, WHS personnel, and workers in other WHS-related roles who manage risks effectively, apply relevant WHS laws, and contribute to WHS within the workplace.
Licensing Requirements:
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification.

After successful attainment of this qualification, many in the WHS industry go onto upgrading to other qualifications such as:
