This qualification provides a trade outcome in carpentry, covering work in residential and commercial applications. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work. Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.

Entry Requirements	This qualification does not have any specific entry requirements. However, completion of Year 12 English and Mathematics is recommended.
Study Duration and Enrolment Periods	Enrolments are taken on an ongoing basis. Students can enrol at any time 24/7 on-line, over the phone or in person during business hours. Enrolment is for a period of 12 months.
Mode of Delivery	NOTE: National Skills delivers this qualification by Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and/or Gap Training - NOT FULL TRAINING. The candidate requires a minimum of 3 to 4 years experience within this trade. (Please enquire for verification).
